An online shop for handmade Dorset ceramics
The client
Nick Jackson is a Dorset ceramics artist making handmade pieces across four collections: domestic ware, pictures, raku and bespoke ceramics.
The brief
Handmade ceramics sell on detail: the glaze, the texture, the shape. The website needed to show the work beautifully, make each collection easy to browse and let customers buy online.
What I built
- A dark, photography-led design that makes the colours and glazes of each piece stand out
- An integrated online shop with a basket, so customers can buy directly from the site
- A “Discover the Range” section leading into each of the four collections
- Clear About and Contact pages for commissions and questions
The result
Nick now has a website that presents his work the way it deserves and lets customers buy online. In his words, nothing was too much trouble and any issues were resolved quickly and efficiently.
